I miss y'all, I think about the game here and there and I try to play other games but they're bad. Nothing is quite like Marvel Heroes on the private server, I tell ya what... Let's get down to business (to defeat the Huns) (did they send me daughters) (when I asked, for sons?) I can't believe Disney thought that was a good idea of a song. Preaching all that hate and stuff, so rude. For real, let's get down to business. I know, we see each other in discord a lot. I see y'all here too and this thread continues to rock. It brings a lot of nostalgia for me and it ain't no secret that many of us, myself included, are always looking for that next Marble Hebrons itch to scratch. Let's walk through history a bit, together, as a family. Torchlight Frontiers drops...it lets you click mans and womans and all sorts of peeps, but the clicking was not enough. It wasn't strong enough. It was weak. It did not have the fortitude that a Hebron needs to survive. It was defeated before it even saw the light of day, a very just death. Magic Legends drops...it, too, lets you click on things but forgets the Magic and Legends part of the title of the game. Old Yeller was not playable in the game and it met a similar fate. RIP to a real one...Old Yeller that is. Do the yellow gods in the cosmic heavens continue to besmirch our good names? Are the small indie devs not getting enough money from Lozareth? Did the switchflipper abandon the genre completely?  I am summoning the siren's song and we are going to be idiots once again. You ain't got poo poo to do. You ain't got nothing going on. You're in for the NOSTALGIA POP. February 11th, Lost Ark leaves the Asian wilderness and gets to the rest of planet Earth and we are going to play this thing TOGETHER Yeah, it's technically been out since 2018 across the ol Pacific there, but here's the deal: We should all play something together (besides the private server of course). It scratches that Marvel Heroes itch a bit and we've already got a boat load of Marsupial Hexagons who are going to check this out when it comes out. Lots of classes, lots of loot, plays at the same level as Marvel Heroes/Diablo does, pretty game, guilds for us to relive GROOT FORCE, I know not everybody will come, but let's just say... CAN WE GET THE BAND BACK TOGETHER? CAN WE COSMIC TODAY FOR ONE LAST DAY? CAN SOME GAME ACTUALLY BE GOOD? (No.) I know I'm doing a lot of "I's" and "me's" here but I am definitely not the person I am on the discord, SA, in life without you all. It's really about just finding something we can do together again. This community was EVERYTHING. I'm saying, let's give this Lost Ark game a try and see if it holds anybody. I know a lot of us on discord are excited for something new. Something reminiscent of Marvel Heroes. What has gotten me to rise from the ashes is: 1) A lot of us just missing each other. 2) This is probably as close as it's gonna get for awhile for a fun multiplayer game that has guilds, a large social network and something we don't have to take seriously. It's got the Marvel vibes too. 3) It costs $0 to play and in a pandemic, yeah, I can't even do the shill thing like that anymore. Times be a'changin. I guess I don't feel like the harbinger of death for this game since it technically has been out for 3 years and has survived, we're just getting the fresh version over here in the states and other countries now. So, yeah, let's give it a shot. No buy-in fee or anything? I can get down with that. Screenshots and videos really speak to the Marble Hebron in me and I want to see who all comes out of the woodwork here that a lot of us haven't seen so we can play and shoot the shizz again! I wanted to do my part and (ruin your lives again with another video game) grab y'all, the best peeps, and get the band back together for the launch. However we stay after that, who knows. Storm had one of her costumes come out...it was one of her last ones specifically and I can't recall the specific name. The guy was highlighting all the red circles, like all over, and he does one right over that area and said verbatim: "vagine too long." And after lots of facepalming and some questionable comments, the rest they say is history. I do have the screenshot and I'll try to find it. It was the same person who always did the red circles. It was incredible...

For the past year I've been whaling VR games and Quest 2 accessories. I was also part of the Great Resignation in November and just started working again 2 weeks ago. Nevertheless I will find the funds to join another doomed enterprise  ** if I can escape better reality games and/or d2r 2.4 lets me

What's the hot poo poo for the quest2 you're enjoying? I didn't find anything super engaging and kinda dropped it like a year ago but I did want to pick it up again. I think I played thrill of the fight the most and that was primarily for exercise purposes.

Comixfan was the guy who posted a potential costumes thread for every character as soon as it was possible to do so, and threw a fit every time someone beat him to it. He wanted to feel like every skin in the game was there because he had suggested it, but I don't think he actually cared about how they were implemented. Also Lost Ark is trash, you'll be out of it in two weeks. Another primo ICR recommendation.

It's fun to blow up and punch mechs but the missions are kinda samey and the AI isn't great for your lancemates or the enemies. Missions that require you to walk your rear end all the way to the corners of the map to blow up artillery are unfun. Overall though I'd recommend it if you're into Mechs. There are a lot of good mods that add more advanced load out options (MW5's default mechlab is overly simplistic IMO), mech variants, weapons, and utility gear. It can be frustrating getting them all to play nicely with each other, especially if they haven't been updated since the latest DLC that added a free-roam mercenary mode. If nothing else, I'd say a target reticle mod is mandatory because the default reticle tends to obscure targets and that is annoying. Mods that add glass to the cockpit are good as well, the default is just thin air and with all the different environments having a little dust or water on the windshield adds immersion. There's also a VR mod, but I've found that distant targets are too blurry to make it enjoyable. YMMV depending on your setup, but I stick to flat screen so I can reliably leg and headshot mechs.
