Actually, the angle of the stairs is 40 degrees, so the holes drilled up into the rail is 50 degrees, I think. Congruent angles or some poo poo? We even used Pythagorean theorem to cut the rail at the right angle. Still kind of hosed it up but what are ya gonna do, it looks fine.

i just got drunk today, 3 days after deciding to stop for my health and mental health, but because work has been loving horrible, and is going to be horrible for another 3 weeks, i needed a reprieve. We went from a software release every 3 months to one every month... shockingly that didn't go well and I've been working 10-12 hour days for a week trying to get it resolved with a new releases going out every day and a new bug being reported back. I'm personally shocked *pikachu*. We are releasing another NEW update next week because it's been a month! I'm sure it will go just as smoothly as the last release since it also didn't get the 3 weeks of regression testing we used to do that verified the code changes didn't explode the entire system. I know it's not a smart decision and its not healthy but I needed a release and I'm not shitfaced, just tipsy. Was able to stop after 4 drinks when I would usually have 8-10 shots five times a week. I bet my liver is screaming through its scars. Working on it. I also need to clean my house... I compromised by doing backed up laundry and changing the litter box for my shithead poop machines, taking a shower and finally going through the backed up mail and figuring out what was important (tax documents mostly) and what was trash. Motivation is a big issue for me as well, which is why im trying to stop intoxicants. Nothing happens because I waste my free time "relaxing" (shutting off my brain) instead of keeping the house work and repairs up to date. Yeah my porch rail blew off in the storm last wednesday, but I can try to call someone to fix that and the other poo poo that was wrecked by the storm OR I can get drunk and watch a streaming service. I was able to prop i back up with a few spare nails and some MDF! It's not load bearing its just cosmetic so no one is going to get hurt from it at least. [edit] some fuckhead C level actually suggested that we test over the weekend lol... he was shot down by my awesome C level quality assurance guy telling him to shut the gently caress up, we had already been doing massive overtime.

Just won a game of RISK online. I controlled Australia and most of Asia, but my ally kept attacking me and making it super difficult. But really, if your ally isn't constantly attacking you, are you even playing RISK? In the end, though, I made my way through Africa, South America, and then the game was mine. I even made a few new online friends! It was a good game.

Took the kids bowling and sucked out loud. Dropped 60 bucks on mediocre alley pizza, wings and cheese fries. Hit Hersheys on the way home and the hot fudge/caramel machine was broken so had to settle for a rootbeer float.

I slept all day for my first shift as the night auditor at work. My girlfriend is making homemade butter chicken poutine and some of the snow outside melted. Pretty good way to wake up all things considered.

I keep thinking it's Sunday and I really wish I could watch the new episode of Euphoria and see what those whacky teens get up to. I would like to watch with my wife a new horror movie that isn't a piece of poo poo `but it feels like we have seen everything on streaming or it's an obvious piece of poo poo or a disingenuous piece of poo poo with a high tomato score for whatever reason.

I've been doing absolutely nothing but laying in bed having covid for the past 4 days. 2 years in a public facing job, where every one of my coworkers has gotten it, I was really starting to feel invincible. Somehow my gf who works from home and barely leaves the house got it. And for a minute it looked like I was gonna dodge it still. But two days after her symptoms cleared up, I got hit.

Update: Nations was okay but tbh not remarkable enough to go back unfortunately. For the price of a few slices I can go to Costco and get two huge pies. I think for two burgers, some pie, a single order of fries, and a shake, it came out to $48 which is just absurd

Found out yesterday that my landlord is going to evict my dog-beating, meth-smoking, violent 15-hour-screaming-fight-in-front-of-their-kids neighbors so I'm in a good mood. Gotta go back to real bed in like 3-4 hours cuz 10PM on Sunday is my Monday morning.
