The whole phenomena of "alt <agency>" was one of the most profoundly cringe things about the early Trump years and now that I think about it, it is about time for the ones who didn't quietly retire them to start churning out some supremely lovely and psychotic takes in complete opposition to the "principled stands" they proudly took when the guy on top was orange and crude

the production of Robocop sounds like it was a blast for everyone but Peter Weller, who the first time he got in the suit and realized he could barely move at all, had a debilitating panic attack and almost quit the movie. Veorhoven had to talk him down from that ledge and told him they’d work him up to longer days in the suit as he got accustomed to it, which they, in fact, did. Like, he describes the first time being in it feeling like it was a skin-tight casket, so I get suddenly being like “I’m going to die if I stay in this thing”. And it wasn’t a light suit, either! it was like 90 pounds or something crazy like that because actual lighter materials would come off plasticky and clearly fake on film. and somehow in the end he kept the suit at the end of production. Of course, it was basically made only for him to fit inside so why not loving let him have it as a wrap gift, I guess. then after he declined returning for Robocop 3 and the production found someone else who would fit just about right in the suit, he let them borrow it on the grounds that they didn’t alter it. Guy they put in the suit turned out to be a few inches shorter than Weller, so they cut the shins of the suit to make it fit. As you can imagine, Weller was pissed.
