I try to have a starting letter that hasn't come up recently and include a couple of vowels. It feels like I usually get 0/5 but it's still a useful elimination when that happens.

I feel robbed by my own dumb luck, I don't get to actually solve anything today. Getting it in 2 (or 3 after blanking on the first guess) from a couple of clues actually feels like being clever even though luck is still a factor.
