Neese put out a "I'm seeking indie dates" tweets and got inundated w/ questions about when Tony fired him. He's still w/ AEW, just mostly on the Darks. Last Neese match I watched, I was amazed that his theme song has lyrics. It's just a lot of drums, w/ someone going "premiere. Athelete." in the back. Tony Nese is around to make the actual prospects look good. Same for Matt Sydal. Same for singles Bobby Fish. And honestly same for Jay Lethal. I think people forget you can't and shouldn't sign only A list people. You have to sign guys who are gonna get in there, have a good competent match, and then lose to Dante Martin or Sammy G or whatever.
