My local pub used to do $10 schnitty on a Wednesday night, or any weekday for lunch. They can't afford to do that anymore so now it's $15 and if you want a topper it's like an extra 4 bucks. To bring this full circle at one point they had a topper called the bogan, it was gravy & chips with a runny fried egg on the top. Considering how cheap their food is, it's actually quite decent and the serving sizes are massive.

one annoying thing about australian schnitzels is that people don't seem to really comprehend the idea properly - half the time you get just a fat chunk of chicken that's been crumbed and fried, more like a chicken steak than anything approaching an actual schnitzel which should be thin home made ones are good but most pubs I don't even bother with ordering one due to repeated disappointment

Yeah Agro didn't last long once Cheez hit the big time, they probably picked up a bunch of stuff for uh, when they ran out of Biker Mice from Mars episodes I guess

Laserface posted:Robotech was aggro/cheez tv I remember it originally being part of what historians refer to as the "Weekend kids' block". From about 6am to noon on Saturday and Sunday*, commercial networks would show horrible lovely kiddy cartoons which were an embarrassment and insult to all who watched them. And Robotech. One day I will hunt down the three separate cartoons it was made from. * after which came Wide World of Sport.
