You just replace the file in StreamingAssets folder for each game. Seems like a few people have put together different fonts if you search around Google.

You could have just done that. Not only are there twelve slots for fourteen characters, you could also just not fill up a party. My first run I beat the game with seven characters between the three parties.

There's already over a hundred font mods for every FFPR game, including 6PR since a lot of basic mods for the other games will immediately be compatible with 6PR. As for Switch PR games, there may be announcements but I wouldn't expect any "OUT NOW" releases besides maybe the first three games. Hell, 6 doesn't come out on PC/Mobile for another couple weeks. Anyway I'm guessing the Itoi tweet is just Earthbound on SNES, maybe Beginnings on NES (or an enhanced limited-time port of it like they did with FE1), and nothing on Mother 3 because Nintendo hates us.

I... wow. That's a take. Considering how thorough the first parts of the game are about making you use the whole cast I'm sort of surprised you didn't see that coming. Like the cast is the whole point of the last bits of the game. The game is really good about using its cast throughout and what makes it even better it's a good group of characters for once. FF7 has a good cast as well, but you're not as encouraged to use them all.

I think that's what soured people so much on Octopath. People imagined it to be a modern FF6 with its huge and interesting cast, but committing to let people do the story in their own order boxed them out of the kind of narrative crossover that really grabbed people about 6.

I know that 6 and 7 are definitely done in their style and those are pretty much my favorite, though 9 and 10 have some amazingly tough maps and very cool units. I really liked the layer of timed power that were the beast-people. There's nothing like that now huh?

I played through Mother 3 in a weekend over a decade ago when the translation came out and I played through it again last year. Still a brilliant experience and top tier RPG.

The battle system, the story, the music and integration of the music into the battle system is all incredible you are missing out
