i am harry posted:if I was a nature documentary film maker and I came across a group of animals slowly dying and spending their lives in abject suffering because of two animals in the group, I’d just kill those two animals. here's a parable from biology research for you once there was a troop of apes. they had a typical ape hierarchy with a bunch of rear end in a top hat males at the top stealing all of the best food, and based on examination of their waste and other stuff, it seemed that the stress levels of the apes who weren't at the top was through the roof basically all the time. then, their normal food sources ran low. the rear end in a top hat apes decided that the best food around was a bunch of rancid poo poo in a hotel dumpster, which they ate. then they all died. because they had hoarded the dumpster food the other apes did not die and managed to find some bananas or whatever once the rear end in a top hat apes were gone. all of their stress levels went way down and the culture of the troop was permanently altered. they no longer tolerated assholes or hierarchy, and in fact if apes from other troops came by and tried to create a hierarchy, they beat the poo poo out of them until they either left or stopped trying to be assholes. to this day, they live a very different and happier lifestyle than every other ape of their species. idk this doesn't have anything to do with birds really but i've always thought it was a cool story

Look you are a dogmatic idiot if you need aliens to be Marxist or whatever but lets assume that any civ capable of transcending meat sleeve slavery has at some level overcome the egotistical selfishness that manifests unequal systems like capitalism, or enjoy an existence for which there is zero need to police distribution of labor and property either way because it is decidedly meaningless

Sure, changes big and small have to start somewhere. I really think it's more likely the guy heard and saw what he wanted to hear while in that state rather than aliens rolling up and telling him some things he likely already knew and felt about the world. so the moon is the size of the us, canada, and russia combined, & it's hypothetically possible to purify regolith into enormous glass panels, so we should just greenhouse the whole thing to like 250m up and export the excess carbon dioxide from our atmosphere to there. Sprinkle on some lichens or whatever random bullshit seeds and stuff from random spots on earth. There's basically no possible way this could ever be a mistake. Lack of vision imo.

I just got up to Wave III which is the start of OBE stuff. I was feeling very down in the dumps this morning so I reached out for anything to reveal itself/its intentions and I saw a glowing slender figure and a bunch of white orbs hovering around my couch (and my glowing white orb-self) and while it's almost certainly just my brain manifesting what it wants to see, I do feel much better. I've tried again since but not with the same discipline and vigor (one-offs). My experiments ended last time when I couldn't get past the "vibration" phase. Vibration my rear end felt like I was being swung in a hammock across the length of the room. You try staying calm through that. Anyway I should try again, yes yes. Any techniques the thread favors?
