Curious what's problematic with it? Red belts and quilted vests aren't particularly Nazi are they? There's plenty of space for some dodgy runes and an armband if they really wanted to go full Nazi but this looks more like Commisscrunt rather than Naziscrunt.

For me it's the models stance and the lack of ornamentation kinda makes it lean toward the nazi side of things rather than commissar.

Lots of overlap in aesthetic tropes between nazis, commissars, bikers, synth music fans and gay fetish leather daddies (and 40K). It makes calling out bad minis confusing at times.

They probably based them on something they saw in a 2000AD story or something that John Blanche spontaneously drew and they thought looked cool. Like a lot of their other stuff from the early years.
