Why isnt there a roadside picnic movie. And yes annihilation kinda fits it. Or even a STALKER chernobyl movie. Both seem... fairly simple to make and require a minimal plot. Stick generic good grim good guy in drab tactical gear and give him mission in crazy place. Done

I didn't say they were, I'm just asking if there's, like, any kind of written connection between these two seemingly disparate things beyond the suggestion that it is so from a guy with a Dune avatar. I can understand if this is a thing I'm just not terminally online enough to get, that requires plumbing the depths of 4chan and reddit to even begin to have the context for, but I am simply at a loss here to connect the quote with being racists about dwarfs.

Finished watching Dressed to kill (1980)  I was looking at movies starring Michael Caine, saw he made one with Robocop's partner? directed by Brian DePalma? and with a Criterion version? I'm interested I didn't know anything about it, so... First 30 minutes I thought it was just some boring erotic drama, Angie Dickinson is having trouble in her marriage, and she's going to see the world's worst psychiatrist, Michael Caine. But then it goes off the rails. In a way, I was pleasantly surprised, glad I didn't look at anything about the story. I'm not saying it's good, just caught me off guard. If, like me, you don't know anything about it, I would recommend not even looking at trailers, see what you think. The story, the themes, and behaviours of the characters have not aged well, but I suppose they are a product of their time. Visuals are fine, sometimes very cinematic, sometimes clearly in soft-core porn territory. Weird ending too, a little "the focus groups didn't like your ending so add another scene". Also I guessed who was the person they were looking for immediately lol In all, an ok movie but I doubt this is one of Michael Caine's best. I award this 2.5 out of 5 Comfys, and a little bottle of hair conditioner, because everyone here has really puffy hair

Antlers (2021) would’ve been SUCH a great episode of The X-Files but is unfortunately a middling supernatural horror movie pulling all the punches you’ve seen before. I dunno, Malignant might’ve ruined these sorts of movies for me, for a while at least.

it's hard for me to express just how bad wheel of time is and my expectations were incredibly low for lord of the rings series so ehhhh. it doesn't look that cheap and there was only a few "REMEMBER THIS FROM THE MOVIES?" clips so i have hope it wont suck.
