Damn it, this always happens. I think I'm gonna score, and then I never score. It's not fair.

I remember them having some silly side events years ago during the Pro Bowl like volleyball, but even with that some players still got hurt

I just don’t think something like a Pro Bowl is a good idea in a sport like football

They had a lot of that stuff in the 90s and early 00s, notably the QB passing skills competition was a thing for a long time, but it went away for a while in the mid 00s. They’ve brought back a lot of things like skills stuff and have done things like dodgeball and whatnot the last few years. Most fans still don’t care.

I would tune in to see who could throw a football the farthest between Mahomes and Allen. And if they had races between the fastest players.

They did have a race between a few players, which included Tyreek Hill clearly not giving serious effort. It’s not like Darrel Green who was still trying to be the fastest man in the NFL at 40.

Put on the Pro Bowl just as one normally would, except all the players have to wear sumo suits.

they would absolutely build ESPN+ around that

also they should do 7-on-7 for the Pro Bowl weekend...with the offensive and defensive linemen, tight ends and linebackers :gritin:

They used to have beach flag football (I think it was 7s) in the pro bowl lead up but then that Bills player got hurt bad enough he almost lost his leg so that was that

Did that happen twice or are you thinking of Patriots RB Robert Edwards? He’s the one I remember ruining his knee and nearly losing the leg during the rookie flag football game they had back in the 90s.

NRC hit the Saints dude early and high and it was incredibly obvious to everyone watching.* Even NRC thought he was getting :flag:ed on that play. Its hard to come up with a comparably egregious non-call

What is the point of this if the Tom Brady one on ESPN+ already exists, that’s at least 50% crossover content

What’s next Apple you wanna make one about the Bulls?

seriously. there's already an Aaron Hernandez documentary about that situation, and New England didn't even have the kind of "fun" that other older dynasties had (...yeah I can say fun, he says, remembering how the book Boys Will Be Boys starts out...)

the Patriots never became a 'national' franchise, have three protagonists in the form of a grumpy genius, bland robot, and Gronk, and nothing else. What else will they have there? Spygate, Ballghazi, Robert Kraft, Putin stealing a Super Bowl ring, and Tarrrrrump? Who wants to watch that?
