I picked up the Lexington myself. Gonna drop the pile of free Agony Phasers they gave out a while back on it, and combine it with the Torment Engine to laugh as every phaser beam creates a DoT with chance of setting them more on fire. Meanwhile, there will be a patch tomorrow to fix the event progress bug.

I got hit with that bug too but gently caress it, only one day worth of progress so I'll skip a ticket and wait for the patch. Nice that the free T6 ship tokens work with the new stuff. No need to spend money if you hoarded.

Then in the rear slots equip two omni beams, a cannon (to proc mixed armaments) and a borg cutting beam. Now you'll never need or miss that third omni beam. I realise this doesn't help with most ships in the game but its maybe a solution of sorts.

Cygnus setup! Concentrate firepower's the only worthwhile command boff ability right? What's worth it for TempOp boff skills? On a different note, I really wish all the non-original hull deflectors on the galaxy didn't look completely awful. And all the andromeda-based necks and pylons are designed to work with the andromeda hulls and don't really work on the original hull, they're too long. Really limits the space barbie. His whole set of Galaxy designs is one of the few areas where I think Tom Marrone is just completely off base in his take on things. This has been your daily galaxy whining from MikeJF. I don't love his nacelles either, but I like them more than the original 1701-Ds, and I don't really know what I'd want to see differently.

I'm sort of wondering what our next 'upgrade' in the game will be. After the Experimental token, and Captain upgrades. I sort of think we'll get something to add more BOFF seats to a ship. Something like an additional universal ensign seat might be a nice little thing to get everyone to buy an upgrade for a bunch of their ships...

Well, you get Ensign BOFF seat with 1 token, upgrade that to Lt. with 2 more tokens, to lt. cmdr. with 4 more tokens, and top it off with cmdr. seat with 8 more tokens. You could sell fifteen 500 ZEN a pop tokens per ship per character. Or make T7 ships which start with that ensign seat, and make that T6-X -> T7 more expensive special token. If anyone was still trying to afk solo Iuppiter Iratus while the anniversary event is still up, I think today's patch fixed/broke it so it doesn't time out.

Haven't tried Iuppiter, but Operation Wolf still works when solo AFKed. It also gives a fair bit more marks on autocompleting (base reward of 60 vs Iuppiter's 31 - before factoring in daily marks boxes and current bonus marks event).

With Iuppiter you just have to kill the first wave of enemies. Then you can cloak and fly away and it will autocomplete after about 10 minutes.

Took the Cygnus in to the Wanted patrol to level it up. Fired it’s anomaly at the first wave of Kazon and was like “oh wow this just killed everyone this has to be overpowered” and then 10 seconds later they all reappeared. Helps to remember what these consoles actually do  On the bug side, seems like the Terran ships have some issues in updating name and registry numbers…

As for other command abilities, Call Emergency Artillery and Suppression Barrage are great, but won't fit on the Cygnus. For a lt command seat, Overwhelm Emitters and Rally Point Marker are decent; RPM is going to be better in situations where you can sit and defend a point.

The problem with getting in to dental is mostly people forgetting to check chats, because it's usually quiet and there's no reason to leave the chat window open unless you want to be reminded that /general chat in mmos hasn't changed in 18 years
