I couldn't figure out how to get back from there though. I had to take a running jump with no room to get going so I couldn't figure out how to make the jump back and I died of falling. Man for a couple years now I've had a hankering to play metroid prime 2 and 3 again but held off in case there was a trilogy release on switch, knowing if push came to shove I could always buy the trilogy on the wiiu eshop. I still have my wii copy of prime 3, so really I'd only be buying it for prime 2. But the eshop is closing next year. Guess I'll wait till last minute and buy it on the eshop, only for nintendo to immediately have a direct with one more thing! Metroid prime trilogy remastered is available right now!

some people have claimed that they can't port prime 3 because the stupid gestures you have to do can only work with a wiimote. well maybe they could remove those, and then also remove all the characters and cutscenes. and the escort mission where you game over if a marine dies. i would play that.

I think I'll just go rescue him and worry about it later. How much more does the extra stuff add to the game? I thought the story was pretty full, I don't get why people say it's short. I think I'll play something retro for my next Docked experience. Looking at wrapping up Super Mario RPG on the SNES classic if not Fusion (on the SNES Classic...). That does remind me I have to get back to FFX. I really stopped after freeing the airship.

Having not played the remake, in the original you can land between the pits and if you mash the feather button fast enough you can jump again before the slipping into the pit animation starts.

Mission mode in Pikmin 3 is really great, I probably spent more time there than on the story. It's a bunch of small maps that basically play like the full Pikmin experience compressed down to 15 minutes. Deluxe comes with all the dlc from the Wii-U version too, so there's lots of them to do.

I remember installing a 20 cd stacker in the boot of my VK holden back in 2001 and feeling like a total fuckin badass having Country Grammar and 19 different nu metal albums available to me at the mere touch of a button while driving, except when it got stuck because I drove over a bump and it was inaccessible until you pulled over e: this isn't the "you are old and going to die one day (soon) thread! Anyway I would like a switch case that can carry more than 8 games, and preferably also somewhere to put the wrist straps that doesn't feel like they're going to scratch my screen
