Along with Queens of the Stone Age he also appeared on the Earth LP Primitive and Deadly.

His solo work is pretty awesome, and that Screaming Trees track was everywhere in the early 90's. Dude was into the HARD stuff back in the day, so hopefully this was health complications and not a relapse.

I got to see him live with The Twilight Singers once and it was pretty drat awesome.

He had a really bad case of COVID recently. Such a sad loss.

I didn't necessarily put that correctly, I didn't do like a full-on audio parody of the album, I just came up with parody titles and that stupid Photoshop :haw:

I love how 1989 that line up is. I haven't thought of TAD in forever.

You could probably only improve it with Meat Puppets, maybe.

The full Slift Levitation Session from a cool science laboratory of some kind is out and its great. Jean Fossat is fast becoming one of my favorite guitar players, and the band has matured with every new release.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdFZQzjCY30

Also, I've completed a solo record that has a few stoner elements to it, mainly in the first track "Amaranth + Marigold," which in hindsight is a very Baroness thing to name a song.

I don't know how many Wo Fat fans we have in here, but they're releasing their new album in May and preorders are open now. I finished the cover for it a while ago but they just announced now. It was a cool project. I wasn't too jazzed about the band name/lettering frankly, I made a more clean logo since I thought the contrast with the organic shapes would look kinda cool but they wanted something amorphous to fill up the space, so there we are. Didn't want to derail this thread with too much of my art and such, this one just happened to get finished as well recently.

As much as I’d like to start buying vinyl and CDs again I’ve given up and surrendered to paying $10 a month for Apple Music. I have a turntable and receiver and cassette deck and everything plus ~1000 vinyl records and almost as many CDs in my basement and I am just too loving lazy. Like 95% of the stuff I have is on Apple Music so I can just sit on my rear end and listen to anything

I have no idea what the best digital way to get music from a band is, in terms of the band getting $

Yeah, same here. They're still the best option, until Epic does... whatever they'll do to screw it up. Pretty sure we'll hear it from the artists the moment it starts happening.

i've been on a pretty much nonstop diet of Electric Wizard every day for weeks now. is it just me or are they so good that it almost ruins almost every other stoner band (with notable exception of Sleep and Boris) by comparison? like, sometimes i'll pop on some random stoner doom album or something and be like "yeah this is cool, but i wish i was listening to Dopethrone instead"
