When I was in primary school, school stopped and we all went into the central area between the classrooms to watch the melbourne cup on an old TV. We all got allocated horses to cheer for and the winners got chocolate. Gotta prime the pump baby.

Kinda amazed I remember that thing happening over 30 years ago while I can hardly remember anything else that far back but I guess they must have made a big deal out of it or something.
