The preview they put out when they announced it was live service looked like poo poo, and that instantly killed every bit of buzz the game had. Pretty much every reference I've seen to it on twitter since then has been some variation of 'why the gently caress did they do this?'

Not only that, but it's also a full AAA game that already tried to sell you their microtransaction currency on its steam page, it's a ridiculously obvious cash grab.

I've seen this kind of thing before, It's very much "Putting the cart before the horse". Sure the players have the option to buy the game then buy the microtransactions then buy the season pass, but they also have the option skip the whole thing entirely and lose nothing in the process. Same thing happened with Artifact pretty much.

This game is pretty drat fun actually! Bizarrely addictive. It's pinball with power ups, enemies, bosses, special moves and support skills, and varied stages with special things to trigger. Seems to be Chinese maybe, the translation is pretty good though. Has a roguelike structure which actually works better than I expected, and the skills are all pretty cool.

I keep dying on the second boss though :(

FIND ALL 2: MIDDLE AGES is the best $1.69 you'll ever spend, unless you haven't already spent $.50 (no, really, that's the price) on FIND ALL.

Both games are simple line-drawn hidden-object games. The magic is in what's drawn, the music, and how it's implemented. In both games, when you click the correct object, it becomes colored, As you progress, you color in the entire scene. Objects follow fairy-tale logic. A pistol may be nestled in the folds of a sail, but it won't be flat against the sail, or against the side of a boat. Objects are in places you might not expect to find them (on top of roofs, for instance) but never in places they couldn't be, assuming a sufficiently motivated placer. No humans are present; there are cats, and dogs, and raccoons, and penguins, but no people.

The music is beautifully done, the pictures are charming -- I have noticed that I often use this word about games I love, but there it is -- and the puzzles are satisfying. It feels great to find that last missing lizard, or feather, or peg leg. These games are restful, and challenging, and fun. Toss a coin to Very Very LITTLE Studio.

Well, that was a happy six hours (so far) down the drain. This is the perfect game for me: a zombie survival game that isn't horrifying, isn't scary, doesn't require reflexes, and is really sort of Stardew Valley only with zombies? (Except that you don't date them.) A lot of the time you can run away from them. Anyway, highly recommended if you like searching and looting and cooking and shooting.

Kinda like the initial loop in Minecraft of create tool -> break things to get better tools to break better things. Has enemies but they're pretty simple to defeat once you get their patterns down plus there's a item that will stop respawns in an area. Started this yesterday, maybe 75% through the game in Chapter 5 out of 8. A total delight of a game. Dripping with gorgeous visuals and charm, its also just breakneck in its pacing. Its constantly throwing new minigames and mechanics at you that will only be relevant for maybe ten minutes tops. The first hour alone shifts its gameplay rules from traditional fights to a rock-em-sock-em punch out game, to a top down Zelda puzzle dungeon, to driving a tank, all fun in their own ways. Each minigame and and gameplay twist always stops before it wears out its welcome and it just bathes you in its sincerity. Each chapter is probably a little less than an hour, so its gonna be a quick game too.
