I've had a stupid theory floating in my head about Luffy's fruit and I don't remember it coming up recently/ever but: going with the idea that Luffy's fruit isn't actually the Gomu fruit; what if it's actually the Keshigomu fruit and Luffy is actually an Eraser Man. He could still have most of the properties of rubber but what if his fruit's awakening let him erase things. Fatigue, Damage, Human Limits, People and/or Knowledge and Memories. It's a stupid shower theory but if that was the fruit used to make the Void Century happen, it would make sense that the government would want it and Luffy dead before it could awaken and it's innocent enough for someone to have before they get to that point and CP0 need to show up.

Shouldn't that be the DF of Imu or someone closely associated with him? It seems weird for the Elder Stars to say "whose light do you wish to erase from history?" to Imu when it's actually one of the people he's considering killing who has the power to erase things. 2. How does being an eraser help him bend his limbs in midair? That was what surprised Kaidou, not Luffy "erasing" anything. 3. If someone used this DF to erase knowledge of the Void Century, why didn't they erase the Poneglyphs?

To me the only alternate fruit type that makes sense would be a mythical/ancient zoan, because we see the rubber power kick in basically automatically. For that to be anything other than a rubber paramecia type, it would have to be some kind of fruit that has inherent stretchy powers (like how marco's phoenix power has the flames, yamato has ice, etc.). If it's a more abstract power that has the side effect of enabling the power set that we see, then Luffy would somehow have had to intuit specifically just the stretchy part on his own without ever stumbling upon anything else. That being said I do feel like this is all setting up for a fakeout and they're actually talking about Buggy's fruit.

Apoo still being up doesn't really bother me it just kinda feels weird because i'm not sure what he's gonna contribute at this point? I'm just bummed because Drake is a cool dino man that has lost twice to this complete nobody in super short scenes I think are supposed to feel like they still matter (like hey Marine civil war that sounds like a big deal) but don't because the CP0 dudes don't feel like real characters at this point.
