She got mad at this and called me an rear end in a top hat. She told me she�s allowed to have friends. She doesn�t need my permission for anything. She told me she loves me, but she can�t put her life on hold for me. I wasn�t asking her to put her life on hold, just not go on my honeymoon and not be friends with my ex. I always knew she had a little crush on my ex, and I told her my ex isn�t gonna date her, not even out of desperation. She hung up on me and refused to call me back.

I guess she told my parents because the next day both of them told me how disappointed they were in me. They told me it was a low blow, and I need to get over myself. I didn�t expect them to take sides at all, but they�re refusing to see my point of view.

Both my sister and my ex refuse to speak to me, so I need to know if I really messed up or if they're overreacting. So Reddit, AITA?

Edit: Since it apparently matters. I didn't cheat on my ex. She thinks I did because she's refusing to listen to my side of the story.

I was having a weekly lunch with an old friend from high school, and when my ex found out she assumed I was cheating. She only thought this because it was one of my ex-girlfriends. I didn't tell my fiance who I was meeting because I didn't want her to get jealous or upset. It was only supposed to be one lunch, but it became a weekly thing and it was already too late to say anything.

Edit #2: I never cheated or had an affair. My ex, sister, and fiance knew each other when they were in high school. My fiance and sister didn't like my ex-gf because she was a "bully." That's why I didn't say anything.

Well my fathers partner is complaining about having the smallest room, they could ask one of the younger ones to move into it but they say since I am an adult I should move into the smaller room and plan to move out, I pay for the room and have a whole study section set up because this course is extremely fast paced and a lot of work - especially since I go work after so I am out from 6 in the morning till gone 11 that night for college and work.

I've said no, I pay so I am allowed this room but my father says he only gave it to me because I was the only girl and now I'm not the only girl, his partner doesn't want to share the bathroom with 5 children etc...

They're both pretty upset with me and my friends say they have a point, that I am not entitled to the room and should be paying rent no matter the room.

AITA?

Edit; for those who think this is a case of entitlement; some info I maybe should have added, I look after the kids at the weekend, I do meal plans for the children and prep everyones dinners, I take the dogs to daycare and collect them on my break as well as paying for that, I tidy the house at the weekend and when I get home of a night wash up the plates and utensils used so while I don't pay half of the total rent I do manage about 90% of the household.

She feels horrible for having these feelings but I and multiple mental health professionals have been working to help and support her through this.

We finally have reached a point where we can receive visitor's. Her family lives close but my family lives 3 states away and have been awaiting the chance to meet the baby and check in on my wife. My parents and grandparents flew down and I warned my family beforehand that my wife and daughter are still at very fragile stages and to be patient. When I brought them in to see my wife my grand mother immediately went and wanted to talk to her about the birth and her experience. My wife told her that it was one of the worst experiences of her life and my grandmother responded by telling her that the "worst is yet to come" and that struggling is what being a mother is about. My wife got very upset over this comment and started screaming at her to f- off and to get the f out. I had never seen my wife like this and I could tell she was feeling extremely stressed and I quickly escorted my family out. I told them it would be best if they left for now and we could talk later as not to cause even more stress on my wife.

My family said they were "appalled" by my wifes behavior and me for not defending my grandmother, but at the end of the day I feel that it is my responsibility to be my wife's advocator all of the time but especially now. It has become a bit of a "tension" in my extended side of the family however, but I haven't told my wife about it because I don't want to stress her out and I plan to deal with this alone entirely. Should I apologize on my wifes behalf? If I am the AH I'll own up to it, but I don't see my wife as an AH at all.

A few hours ago I stopped by for lunch and to show my parents scan photos guess who was there? The happy couple I was literally in shock for a few minutes than when my brother tried to hug me I pushed him away. I got so worked up I physically couldn�t stop shaking at this my brother and Jake tried to apologise, talk about what happened and beg for a relationship.

I was in tears and begged to them to leave me alone at the end my brother handed me a letter and said �I really wish things could be different you�re my sister, my twin I do love you and it kills me we don�t have eachother anymore�

So basically I lost it ripped up the letter screaming that we weren�t family and I just want him to leave me alone. I walked out after that and had my to get a taxi home because I was to upset to drive since than my parents and family members have told me I�m cruel and bitter that I need to stop living in the past and get over it

Exactly what I mean, it�s absurd and I feel like it�s either a conscious or negligent choice designed to frame the growing wealth inequality as a personal failing.

Let�s say you were the most extravagant diner ever, and ate lunch at a swanky place every workday and couldn�t expense any of it. So you�re spending $5,000 per year just in lunch. So you switch to stealing lunch and eating for free every day. You divert every penny into your student loans. $5k/yr into $50k+interest means it would still take more than a decade to pay them off.

Versus paying 50% of what you currently do because housing has doubled, tripled or quadrupled. Or cut your loans in half because education has massively outpaced inflation. Or increase your salary by a quarter because wages haven�t kept pace but nooooope it�s the nice bread that costs like a buck more that�s the reason you can�t buy a boat

AITA for being mad at my parents because they withheld information about my medical history from me?

Within days of moving here I could breathe out my nose. No more snot and I can smell and taste. It freaked me out at first because this had never been possible in my life. I'm not a mouth breather anymore and my sleep is not disturbed now.

One of the good things about my job besides the pay is that it comes with insurance. I got a checkup at the dentist, the eye doctor and the doctor for the first time since I was 12. I had these when I was a kid but when I was about 12 my dad got a new job but the insurance was not good. We only went to the doctor or dentist for major things like a broken bone. I was still on my dad's insurance before I got my job. My new doctor asked for my medical records if I had them. My first doctor was gone but the building is still there and they had mine from a long time ago. There wasn't much from the second.

This is where I found out my parents lied to me. In my old records it says a bunch of times the dry air hurts my sinuses. The doctor says a less dry climate would relieve them but besides that there is medication and a humidifer would help. It says so over and over. They never told the second doctor this information either.

I asked my parents about it. They were angry I got the medical records because they said it was private. My mom said they didn't try medication because it was too much of a hassle to remember to give me the pills. My dad said moving was out of the question since it would remove my sister from her friends and a humidifier was too much work for mom. I'm not so self centered I think they should have moved but if I had this info when I was older I could have been responsible for my own medication and I would have moved from Nevada when I was 18 if I knew it would help. My parents must have told my sister everything because she blew up my phone with calls and messages saying I shouldn't have snooped in the medical records and mom and dad were right to tell me there was no cure because the medication and other stuff was too much to put on their plate.

Aita for being furious about this? If I knew I could taken steps to fix this when I was d enough. I'm also perturbed they think me not being able to breathe properly was no big deal.

How dare you get ahold of your own medical records! That's private and not for you!

POSNET was like, the early/mid 90s, but has apparently been superceeded. Like with checks, the barcode overrides anything else so if it's ever there then when it's dumped into the bulk processing equipment it just spits it out back on the way to you.
