Nepheli quest: Has anyone found a way to progress this quest after giving her the hawk ashes? She's just chillin down by the stairs even when you go back right before you fight final boss. Makes me think there's more to do for her.

So regular weapons go like +15 and up right? I've been using the wolf sword for the entire game and it's at +9. Does a regular weapon that goes higher end up outperforming the somber stone weapons?

I accidentally posted the following in the wrong thread earlier but posting it here becuase I think I triggered something...? What did I do?? -- Can someone please help me with (secret secret dungeon underneath the capital) Subterranean Shunning Grounds, in the secret area after you defeat the boss? I can't quite figure out what route they want me to take down. Edit: The power of complaining on the internet worked! Now there's just a dead end with a very ominous door that I'm not sure what to do about.. Edit 2: I followed the advice on some messages and got the door open and now some Three Finger thing just hugged me and now messages are saying it's time for chaos?? I still don't really get quests in this game, because I'm usually playing in some stage of inebriation, but I'm fine with that. I can never remember who was where or what they told me to do. I figure these things will just work themselves out in time. Oh, there is one exception, I did finish the quest where the blind lady by the road tasks you with taking a note to her father, having some problems with unruly staff in the castle down the road. Did so, Dad's all, tell my girl I said hi. So I go back and she's just laying there and the text is all She's Dead (hit OK) and for some reason I thought that was really funny.

Everyone complaining about Godskin Duo clearly never messed around with sleep pots/sleep in general. Two pots puts the big guy to sleep and then it's a matter of managing who is asleep and who isn't (and making sure your spirit ash doesn't gently caress that up). It turned a clusterfuck into an actually fun fight.

Question about Consecrated Grounds: The waypoint teleporter to access Moghwyn Palace is deactivated for me, and doing Varre's questline isn't an option because I murdered his rear end. How do I activate the teleporter? (Please don't tell me it's by killing the invading Sanguine Noble who two shots me...)

Are you just supposed to throw ashes of war on a random rear end weapon and then whip that out to use them? Nothing I'm using can be infused with them and it doesn't look like any of the "special" weapons can take them.

There different ashes for different types of weapons, some ashes only go on spears, some go on everything except axes and hammers, and so on. You're either using weapons that can't use them or you don't have the right ashes. You use them because you either want the special move, or the stat scaling they change (so if you change a sword that had only had an STR of "D" to STR "B", + it adds DEX "C" or something, it will start doing more and more damage as you level those up which can make weapons a lot stronger.
