Hmm, looks like I’m paying a lot of interest on my Disney-branded credit card. No problem, I keep getting 0%-balance-transfer card offers in the mail, I’ll just move the balance to one of those. I can keep doing this forever, right?

$60K is like bare minimum needed to survive but as long as C-levels and shareholders keep adding to their yacht collection I’m good with just doing my part because I’m a full month away from being homeless unlike those guys making $40K.

Devils Affricate posted:I honestly can't tell if OP thinks a $60k salary is a lot of money or not a lot of money It's a lot of money and honestly starting to creep into bougie territory. Anyone making 60k better start being careful about accepting their rich get richer raises because 70k is the cut off for when guillotine cut offs start. If you know what I mean. It's triple the wage of someone making 10.5 an hour. Nobody making 70k is actually producing 3x the value of a cashier who makes only 23k for a full year rs work.

BAGS FLY AT NOON posted:$60K is like bare minimum needed to survive It’s true. If you’re not out in the farmland boonies and just in a suburb of a metro*, $60k is just about where you can start to breathe a little easier. It’s not a lot of money, but it’s usually the point where you can afford to build up a decent emergency fund (that will be completely wiped out in the first medical emergency you have because we live in hell). *excluding NYC and any city in CA
