It's actually shameful how ugly that Urakali sponsor made the Haas. It still has that sort unlicensed-F1-game-we-cant-get-the-real-cars design, but much better than before...

Reminds me couple years back when IIRC two McLaren engineers carried an underfloor the wrong way around (with the diffussor pointing towards the crowd) and Zak just slowly shaking his head. I think it was the same testday where they dropped the car from the jacks like two times (with no wheels attached), damaging the diffusor, and then parading the new one around.

I listened to most of the commentary yesterday, and I don't think they ever touched upon the Mazepin shitshow at Haas. It was very much "It's so cool KMAG is back, and now Mick has a good benchmark and it will be good to see them run a fully-developed car" and then a lot of underhanded/sly comments clearly directed at Mazepin... I think the closest they get to it is "and then taking into account the off-track issues they have had with everything going on". I assume a decree has been sent out by Liberty or Sky to commentators to stay the gently caress away from the war in Ukraine...

Back during the first KERS days when the batteries exploded the carbon shrapnels looked different. Still a bit scary that a car explodes like that back there. If I see it correctly, Latifi turns the engine off while the car is not in neutral (thus the typical throttle spike at turn off spinning the rear wheels), so maybe some stuff was already ruptured/melted and whatever sits back there spat out some oil into the fire? Bit too much black smoke for just burning brake discs. Then again I have no idea what color the smoke of burning hydraulic fluid is. I assume also black. E: it’s definitely the tyre exploding.
