Wheeler Yuta had a great DEFY debut and Daniels is clearly enjoying the hell out of being DEFY’s head rear end in a top hat. Kingston vs. Big Damo was short and a bit lacking but when Fatu couldn’t make the main event, Eddie showed up a minute into the match to take his place and the brawl was a blast. Balcony fights, a little bit of color, lots of chairs, and so on. Lawlor and Knight was probably match of the night. Knight looked really good, got in a ton of offense. Lawlor strongly implied that he’s gonna get his match with Moxley on the 4/30 show. I think Eddie will be back, he really seems to like the atmosphere. He closed out the show by calling for a DEFY chant because “that’s what it’s all about!”

I should mention that ECCW got pinged in #SpeakingOut stuff: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/eccw-wrestling-speaking-out-1.5644280 The owner is gone, but they released kind of a lame duck public statement about it, and then a lot of the people who left ECCW over it formed Nation Extreme Wrestling. Yeah, I'd been posting about that here when NEW formed up last year, and it's pretty much the whole reason NEW started. ECCW's social media has claimed they'll be back at some point, but who knows. NEW has a much bigger budget (like, actual screens, lighting, and a stage), and most of the ECCW roster, so what's the point?
