There are some cool Magpies though that hang around the rafters waiting for cockies. They are really cute and sing along with you if you whistle to them. Also the staff laugh about people demanding to watch the bulk sorting thinking the jailbird workers are going to steal $1 here and there. One dude explained to me that he makes $35 an hour on weekends, why the gently caress would he try to sneak out 10 grotty beer cans under his shirt for $1.

The aluminum apex is part of the monument’s lightning protection system. It’s also absolutely tiny.   That crap surrounding it in the first image is there because the pyramidion not particularly well suited to its job of lightning protection.
