You apparently can't downvote yourself on reddit, but you can take away the default upvote. I like doing that if I remember because it makes fair for all the other losers who aren't as good at posting at me. Also legit it seems hard to get banned on reddit. Most of the shitposts I make are about how gaffer taped fenceposts are better lovers than men, or that gamers should never be treated as humans. It gets the negative numbers but that's it. Also still no one can explain what the numbers *do*. Like, you have 100k but what does that do? Might as well make a spreadsheet with your name and make a big number next to it for all it does.

For as lovely and groupthink as SA can be, at least I can probably say it will never be as bad as the subreddits for specific TV shows. I was googling some stuff about Letterkenny and the r/letterkenny subreddit kept popping up and every. single. loving post in that tire fire is a bunch of people obsessively quoting and basically roleplaying as the cast from that show, and slathering every single post with catchphrases or finding any opportunity to shove in some of the show's regional Ontario slang. It's things like that that make me understand how there are people who consciously collect Funko Pops.
