Some advice from a fellow thread translator- I found I enjoyed this hobby a lot more when I realized that I like translating comics because I like doing it, and not because I particularly care about whether other people approve of my amateur work. Practice makes perfect. And I tend to take the lack of comments about my comics to be a compliment, since it means I'm expressing the relevant ideas clearly. Certainly, more than I used to at least, when there were far more confused questions from thread readers about what the joke was supposed to be.

This is absolutely true. I hardly think about the fact that some comics are translated at all, which to me means you translating goons are going a good job of it.

I seriously appreciate you all doing that. I would never have read a bunch of good comics any other way. Even if you all sucked at it, it would still be good enough, but you don't. You kick rear end.

I really hate when 3 finger art comics try to do anything other than keep those finger lined up in a row. If you're going to be fancy then draw them all!

its like when hilda came back after the author spent a bunch of time drawing a 4 fingered comic and it look like she kept having to go back and remove a finger all the time

it's fine! no one will care! just draw all 4 fingers!

Thinkin' about this incredibly natural interaction:
-Helen Moss(who I will now only refer to with her full name, because apparently Toby does now too) pops in to be all YOU ARE CLEARLY FLIRTING WITH THIS STUDENT BY BEING NICE TO HIM :nono:
-Toby reasonably goes "what? no, I wasn't flirting"
-Helen Moss then does the rear end in a top hat "you know what I was talking about" thing and refuses to clarify what she's tut-tutting about
-The conversation apparently ended there with no followup(because that's how normal humans interact in the Mary Worthverse), leaving Helen Moss as an unreasonable rear end in a top hat instead of someone who might have been the "uh, you know he's flirting with you, right? here's how to brush him off without it turning into a whole Thing" wisened older teacher in a more sensible comic. And with the way everything in this arc has been framed, I doubt that this was what Moy was going for.

I'm Mad About Mary Worth.
