looking at it again, i keep thinking "bud you're the one who brought it up as a repair and not a return" so even if it's new the people there are only gonna do what you said

Yeah, if your complaint is that the supposedly-new vaccuum shouldn't need repairing that soon, take it up with the manufacturer, not the repair center. 2018 Spiderman 1979 comics I have no idea why the scan quality keeps hitting Nancy's side of the paper so much more than the rest. Skelley is definitely one of those guys who still thinks you can just walk into a place and ask for a job and they'll be so impressed by your "gumption" that they'll hire you on the spot I guess he also thinks parents can do that same thing for their kids, even though in real life he would have been laughed out of the store

Haifisch posted:1979 comics I'm guessing Lucy did it, because if erasable pens were the same in 1979 as they were in the 90s, they rub off when the ink is dry. This also reminds me of how my fifth grade teacher required math homework to be done in pencil so you could erase mistakes, and yelled at me once for using an erasable pen. I preferred the pen because it erased cleanly without smudging the way pencil graphite can, but when I tried to explain this I learned the truth - the real rule was to obey unquestioningly and never think for yourself. Now I'm mad about things that happened thirty years ago, thanks a lot Encyclopedia!

This is the lowest stakes Encyclopedia Brown mystery ever. At least it's a realistic one for a kid to solve, rather than "This ten year old boy figured out what decades old veterans of the town's police force couldn't."

Bad Machineryquote:Bad Machinery returns after two months away! I drew this week's comics before Christmas though, so I suppose we'll see next week whether rest is restorative or "creatively debilitating". Today's comic introduces Sonny's mum, who has an intense sense of style, and you will also note his sister Cecile, who played an important part in an earlier yarn.

I'm old enough to remember when erasable ink pens were an amazing new thing, which would have been around this time. So yeah, that's probably it. That said, it's still a goofy way to put it, because with ballpoint pens there's no "the ink is still wet, don't touch it" stage. I suspect the writer was old enough to think kids still did their homework with fountain pens.
