They have a bunch of Kickstarters out, maybe find a pledge manager that lets you add it? I have Etherfields and ISS Vanguard backed from them and I think they either just launched or will soon launch a new project. e: I assume you already contacted them directly

Fantasy Realms is enjoyable filler* and it's perfect for licensing out to whoever since it's got like a hundred cards with pictures of people standing around, and an effect that you can squint at and say "oh yeah, that kind of makes sense". *I believe, I may be thinking of another game, the name is kinda generic so I have trouble fixing it in my mind.

Just saw someone talking about Hamlet. Looks like a cute mish-mash of Roads & Boats and Keyflower. If this was me five years ago I would have mashed that PLEDGE button but now I'm a little more cautious, especially with how expensive it looks (~$77 CAD before shipping). Does anyone have any input about it? I love city/village building games and tile layers and what little I've read about it so far seems fairly positive.

I'm backing, but the thing to keep in mind is that there is 100% a retail version coming that will likely be cheaper - the KS version is for a fully blinged out copy. I think it looks like a very neat tile laying worker placement game. I'm also in a position where I don't really want to add things to my collection unless I know I'll be playing it, and this will definitely see some mileage.

Perhaps I am a bit late as this was 5 days ago but in serious news Victoria Mann is being sued by board game designer JR Honeycut for defamation. In November 2019, she game out with allegations of abuse in (read at your own risk and check the CWs, I have not read this recently so I can't say how difficult it might be) a medium post. This lead to a strong response from many parties throughout the industry including his former co-designers Gil Hova and Rob Daviau. I admit, I either forgot about this or maybe even never heard it in the first place. Suffice it to say, I don't think this got the mindshare that the similar story of the Broken Token did, but it's no less important just because this person was less well known. She has set up a GoFundMe for her legal defense if you want to help her. Believe Women.

Finished Sleeping Gods. Stats: 15:53 over 8 sessions. Ending #5 9 totems 145 points Didn't play on Hardcore (for the extra 25 points), but never came close to losing anyway. You would have to be pretty terrible to lose in this game, maybe if you were playing with kids or something, or if you just couldn't conceive of how to optimize combat? It's really easy once you get a small semblance of an engine going and like two decent weapons. Overall, one of the better "read stories from a book" games. Could probably get another two plays out of it to get through all the content. I wish there was a modernized Tales of the Arabian Nights that followed this formula.
