Ah. So all the hot takes along the lines of "for real, Hunter left his laptop in a repair shop run by a blind person, you couldn't come up with a more plausible story?" were full of poo poo?
No, not necessarily. Just that (some) of the emails (related to taxes) were real and that the laptop did actually belong to Hunter Biden.

The other issues, like the questionable story about its procurement and the question of whether fabricated disinformation was mixed in with real information (and whether the information actually came from the laptop, instead of being hacked and then placed there) are still in play.

Edit: which isn't new information, I think it was always believed that the laptop belonged to Hunter and that at least some of it was real.

I'm not positive the laptop itself has been authenticated as much as the information that was found on it. The NYT article I read was a little unclear on that. They said they got the emails they are talking about from that laptop, and those were confirmed to be real emails, but that doesn't necessarily mean the laptop wasn't a setup to cover for a cloud hack.

I guess the point is there was nothing bad about Joe Biden in there except in an email somewhere he said something about kicking 10% up to "the Big Guy" which was interpreted as Joe. Other than that it was Hunter doing drugs and having sex with sex workers, which I think most Americans in 2020 just reacted to with "Meh, whatever. Please let me vote out this current rear end in a top hat I don't even loving care anymore."

When you think about it, paying taxes is exactly like bribing every government official. So really, the only way to avoid corruption is to abolish taxes. I'll go first in the name of transparency!

Credit where credit is due. The SA libs gave the "we'll investigate and run the numbers on renewables" and normally it just stops there but instead used an actually independent think-tank and went "huh, yep, renewables are the way to go" after seeing the data support the conclusion.

Speaking of giving cartoonists credit can we appreciate the distinct lack of labels here? Sure there's one for Ukraine but you gotta admire the restraint on display here: no label for Russia or even a Russian flag (or God forbid, a hammer and sickle), no shirtless Putin labeled "Putin" driving the tank

No, you see, Joe Biden is so weak and senile, Puting couldn't help but invade Ukraine. It was only Big Daddy Trump that kept him from doing that.

It happened because Biden was weak, unlike Trump who was strong, and is therefore Biden's fault.

No, Trump wasn't obviously being puppeted by Putin, and he did not get convicted when he was impeached for trying to blackmail Zelensky over US aid, so that case is closed and obviously irrelevant.
