mom and dad fight a lot posted:That kid looks like he's having a loving awesome time As a toddler haver, little kids love doing that stuff. Everytime there was snow this winter, my kid wanted to shovel. In the summer he wants to water the plants. Little kids like doing that because then they're helping out. Although this kid actually is helping, where my toddler's shoveling skills leave something to be desired.

^^ my aching shins!!!NoWake posted:Where's the best place to run a strap over these long, round, hollow things? Over the top of them longways, of course! I think the strap goes through the middle. It just goes over the top first, then back through the middle, then back over the top to the far side anchor point. Otherwise the spools of wire would flip outwards and catch on things alongside the track. Yes it is silly because if there is any rotation of the wire then they will start to loosen in a exponential fashion. Only pipes make sense to just go through the middle and hold the bottom down.

Ah the current state of the US rail industry. "According to the National Transportation Safety Bureau, nearly every two hours, a person or vehicle is hit by a train in the US, and every year nearly 1,000 people are killed in train-related accidents. Almost every two weeks a train derailment leads to a chemical spill." https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2022/03/24/rail-m24.html

Every two weeks a train derailment leads to a chemical spill? That’s a lot! What I want to know is why those videos are not in this thread. That’s the real tragedy.

Is it wrong I thought it was a slip and slide with some huge machine or construction sliding down into place in the paddock? Even as it moved closer I thought “it’s spraying water and suds in front of it as it slides”.
