I now have noble's estoc, straightsword, and hat. The estoc is good for my mage because I have 10 str and 12 dex so I can't use the regular estoc, plus it has better damage, range, and (I think) scaling than the rapier. Plus the gold looks sick with maliketh armor and the blood noble duelist guy hood. Also I wish poise damage were somehow listed and documented. I want to know if the glintstone kris weapon art does more stagger than the glintstone pebble ash of war.

I don't think I've seen a game hit me with as much understated world-rewriting lore as this one has. Finding the fortified manor and trying to work through the implications of it was straight up slack jawed fantastic.

Think I'm finally done with the game after 160 hours and five characters (two of which beat the game). Pure archery and pure incantations proved to be very unfun for various reasons. Winner overall was by far arcane/status effects, crushing the game at level 80 for pvp purposes. I think the last quarter of the game was out of time and/or out of money, like many people have echoed. The difficulty curve is unpleasant, the environments rather lacking. But the first three quarters are so loving good that it makes up for it. Also bring back pre-nerf Radahn. 9.5/10. GOTY.

I really hope he gets the opportunity to grow more and improve as a designer because I think 80% of his instincts are really strong
