It's a way for Saskatchewan and Alberta to pretend they're doing something without actually doing anything. There's only one SMR in existence anywhere in the world. They're decades away from feasibility. Both provinces would be far better off funding solar and wind, being some of the sunniest and windiest places in the world, but everyone knows they won't do that.
