When I was a kid I had one of those stupid kid encyclopedia sets that made shoe bill storks sound like the most boring bird in the world. "Hey. Here's a bird that looks dumb because it has a beak that looks like a shoe." Never once did they mention the bird was loving huge and sounds like a machine gun. Then again, imagine you work at the stupid kid encyclopedia factory and you have to write a page about a bird based on a single black and white photo and a paragraph from a real encyclopedia.

Devon rex - the cat made entirely of dryer lint.    There's another goon or two that has one but they can be hard to find. Idk how my friends ended up with one but she's the sweetest cat I've ever met. And feels EXACTLY like just...petting a handful of lint, lol.

I know the dodo is kind of cheating, but I was raised on Chuck Jones’ “Riki Tiki Tavi” so I have a healthy respect for king cobras even though it is unlikely that I will ever encounter one. I think it is pretty rad that the animal rescue dude is so good at helping king cobras in distress while respecting that they can kill him. I don’t think I’ve seen any other cobra rescues that are that freaking efficient. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=db9MgEfHLgY Like, seriously, that dude was amazingly efficient while still being gentle and keeping the humans safe from the cobra.
