That a token for the ability to commission others to do violence on your behalf (money) has usurped the direct application of violence is the core complaint of fascists about modern "degenerate" society. Law, property, and authority are to them all things that should be subordinate to force, not controlling force. "By this axe I rule" etc.

Why do we hate Jordan Peterson?

I appreciate Jordan Peterson simply as a motivational speaker. I'm a general fan of motivational books. So I like that part of him, and I just skim through what doesn't interest me.

I'm a pretty big fan of Joe Rogan memes, but I haven't seen any Jordan Peterson ones.

I actually kinda agree with you in that I stumbled upon the clean your room shtick at a time that was useful for me and now my room is decently clean but it was all pretty common sense advice. I stopped having use for Jorp when I heard his stances on drug addiction and trans people et al., especially the addiction stuff because it's coming from a place of hypocrisy.

Also he sounds like air leaking out of an already week old balloon.

He publicly insults and disparages his patients, which is enough reason to hate him in my opinion. He's sexist, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, a hypocrite, and a liar. He constantly misrepresents things, either on purpose to make a "point," or because he's too lazy and stupid to do basic research. He encourages and supports policies that harm women and minorities.

There are a million motivational speakers out there who don't think women wear make-up to signal that they want to be raped. You can find one very easily

Kermit the Frog: You can't ever do that. Don't ever say that. That's chaos. I don't hate Jordan Peterson but he sucks real bad and is pretty dumb. I like reading/hearing people dunk on his lovely philosophy and books.

Probably wouldn't care so much if he weren't literally trying to be a cult leader.

I don’t hate him, I just dismiss his work as tired, old worn-out self help cliches dressed up in unnecessarily flowery language to hide the fact there’s nothing new or interesting there.

And I lol pretty hard that he’s a massive hypocrite who turned his brain to mush trying to easy-mode his way out of benzo withdrawal in a shady back-alley Russian clinic and now his daughter is desperately trying to pull a Weekend at Bernie’s to keep the scam going.

He's barely worth the effort to hate but if you're curious, here's my personal anecdote: When I identify toxic mindsets in my friends and trace it back to their origins, 3/4 the time they learned it from Rogan, and the other 1/4 from Peterson. I admittedly won't associate with people who consume fascism propaganda like Carlson or Shapiro, so it's frustrating to see the faux-intellectualism that defines either of those two (Rogan and Peterson) permeating more normal spheres of society.

These two are smart people for dumb people, but they're not smart people.

I dont think Rogan has the agenda those other dudes have, but it's totally fair to say he supports them. It's a bit of a shame Rogan has explicitly political guests (pundit-types) on his show, because there's a million interesting or funny people to interview.

I honestly think he was fine before he started platforming people like Gavin McInnes, Alex Jones and Ben Shapiro and it went downhill extremely fast.

Which is actually worse because he established the largest podcast in the world with relatively decent content and then flipped full fascist propaganda, with a massive audience in tow.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson did some bog-standard "think about how there was a rocket, where could it go?" and other think-it-through physics things when they discussed this years ago on Rogan's podcast. And Rogan admitted he had never really thought all that through and now I guess he believes the moon landings were legit
