Zavok is similarly a lot better in the comics. Seriously, the guy's friggin' rad in the Bad Guys miniseries IDW put out a little while ago.

I would imagine there were a lot less of the infamous Sega Mandates on Zavok because who gives a gently caress, so the comic writers could do what they liked.

I will never understand Zavoks popularity. I get why Zeena is popular because of porn, but overall the Deadly Six are such goddamn nobodies, especially in their own game. Zazz gets the most dialogue I think and rightly so as he is the most expressive. Zavok is just standing there doing nothing for 90% of the game and then you get to his fight and he's less of a threat and more of a niusance.
At least the old guy has a cool Mario-esque fight and the fat one has that amazing "running down a beehive" level which for me is the cream of the crop when it comes to Lost World levels.

And out of all the 6, they still promote the most boring one.

Infinite was amazing as an edgelord with the twist that his backstory is him being a huge loser with a grudge. It’s a shame he was wasted on Sonic Forces. That game was such a tragic waste of potential.

The guy wore a mysterious mask and had heterochromia and a scar over his eye. He was totally supposed to be the evil OC counterpart to your OC but I figure they didn't know how to stick the landing

I feel like there might be potential to bring Infinite back in the comic and have him try to rebuild his mercenary group (after unceremoniously ditching them for Eggman in the short prequel comic they did for Forces), and maybe try to regain some of his lost power, but so far he seems gone for good, and they don't seem to want/need to bring back the phantom ruby.

There's a Popeye's in London now. But I can't see it lasting very long, apparently it's too spicy for Brits to handle.

There was a Garfield Eats in Toronto but it didn't survive COVID and I hear the guy is working on a Scooby Doo themed restaurant.

Chris Thorndyke sucks a lot in the first 2 seasons of Sonic X, then turns around and becomes super genius and super competent in season 3. He pulls his weight properly without having any of his previous stupid drama, and (iirc) supports the other characters when they have personal issues. Sonic X stuff isn't ever going to get much love, but I'll at least give it that they turned Chris around to someone relatively tolerable, which I'd be surprised if Sonic's movie cop friend was able to do the same.

Chris is really great in the Sonic X comic - I particularly love the story of him and Cream facing off against ghost-possessed Amy and Vanilla, it takes a set of characters you'd expect to not work at all and makes a great Goosebumps story out of it. The Sonic X comic is surprisingly good in general, though.

idk, people are pretty eager to buy into the stereotype that white people can't hand spice

like, it's not totally untrue, but it's a bit exaggerated, and it feels like it probably says something if you think brits really can't handle black pepper.

British cuisine that survived the early 20th century: baked goods and desserts, basically anything that involved butter, cream, lard or meat stock.

British cuisine that didn't: the very concept of seasoning and a basic understanding of vegetables.

It's pretty universal that British grandmas could do a nice stew and dumplings with a cracking crumble and custard for dessert, while vegetables were to be boiled for one hour minimum until they went grey then smothered in gravy to hide the shame.
