Is there any way to embed Facebook videos and shorts here? I get some good ones pop up occasionally but I can't tell from the post preview in the Awful app if embedding will work or not.

It's a Golden Retriever rather than a Labrador - while lots of Goldens do love water (and especially mud) they're not specifically bred for it like Labs are. The one we had when I was a kid (called Goldie even though she was red) absolutely loved playing at the edge of the water, she'd never ever voluntarily let water touch her.

My golden loved the water. She would happily get as wet and muddy as possible if any opportunity presented itself.

All hail the queen!
Rexie had a rough day at the vet today for a dental cleaning (and the vet hosed up some simple instructions about our availability, so she's gonna need to go back for an extraction in a couple weeks :(...some heated exchanges took place, and we're super disappointed since we've been going to this vet for almost a decade and they've never hosed up like this).

She was actually struggling so hard in her carrier it was safer to just let her out before she potentially hurt herself and she was ecstatic to explore the car. You can see the impression of the carrier mesh on her head in the first photo for a gauge of how hard she was flailing in there.

Don't worry, she was wrangled back into the seat when we were in motion, not sitting in the dash at 45mph (and I was driving under the limit and very carefully)....she eventually poo poo a small nugget in the back seat floor so I think she was just panicking to find somewhere to poop, she settled for the rest of the ride after that happened as pictured in the final image. She's usually content to sit in her carrier and just poke her head out, I think she just didn't want to crap in a confined space.

As soon as we got home she devoured an entire can of her special wet food and is now chilling in a heated bed on my desk. She bounces back from anesthesia faster than any cat I've ever had.

My family lab fell face first into a lake as a puppy, because he leaned too far off the dock when he noticed his reflection, and he was afraid of water forever.

When we’d go swimming at the cottage he’d pace around on the dock fretting until we got out.

Those things are clearly poison and it is their duty to protect you by scaring it away.

edit: Upon googling, I have learned that lemons are literally poisonous to dogs so these good boys are having exactly the right reaction.

It's food but it hurts, so it must be an enemy? But it's small. Maybe it's a friend? Maybe we're playing! It's wrestle time! Wait, it's not playing back though

Right, that's because it's food.

But it hurts, so it must be an enemy

I have literally no idea, some kind comrade in the UK Megathread in D&D (where I do spend probably a bit too much time posting about the London Underground and other eldritch horrors of the capital) gave it to me to go over a much stupider BRCT someone had given me. I assumed it was some kinda Doctor Who thing or something.
