It was kind of cool in the first few books how there were hints that it was connected to other King stories, but the later books just outright had Marvel and Harry Potter poo poo in it. Plus King’s self insertion. Anyone know if the second season of 86 is worth watching?

IIRC there have been several attempts to do a Vampire Hunter D series but they've either languished in development hell or just straight up didn't pan out It really sucks because it seems like it should be a slam dunk

if i recall correctly the two stories that were adapted were pretty much the only ones of decent length. the rest were very brief vignettes. that's based on the manga though, not the extremely long series of untranslated books. i might be wrong, though. it's been a very long time since i read it.

the previous guin saga anime heavily changed things for the worse in ways that made no sense and stopped the narrative completely dead. but on the other hand in the first episode guin punched a guy so hard that his helmeted head lit a tree on fire from the friction so it is impossible to say if it was good or bad.

guin saga started off with violence then there was nothing happened episode after episode until i dropped it. it sucked so bad. it was supposed to have been a huge influence on the berserk author, and i can only imagine that influence was "ok but what if i made something good"
