Nostalgia finally gets me on this one, Rumble 95 was my 2nd PPV ever (Bash at the Beach 1994 was the first), I can't vote against it even knowing the Rumble is objectively one of the worst.

That Summerslam is the show they were building when I first started watching Raw every week and definitely holds a special place for me… but fuckin Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka is an all time great that will be tough to beat imo.

Beware of Dog is little more than a mid-90s curiosity with the power outage and some booking decisions that, on paper at least, are really loving weird. "Austin lost to who? What do you mean Goldust beat Taker in a casket match!?"

The strap match is way better than you'd expect it to be as well, and Savio Vega was a better wrestler than people remember him being.


The matches that you'd expect to be good at Starrcade 95 are pretty good - namely Liger vs Benoit and Otani vs Eddie, but the show itself is really not much to write home about either, with matches you'd think would be good sucking poo poo too, like Savage vs Tenzan, or the two Flair matches, especially galling considering that Flair has had good matches with all of Luger, Sting and Savage at several points in his career..
