pretty fucking embarrassing to watch

Bit of a weird comparison; but since the BBC started in the 1920s shouldn't the nWo be the new BBC?

Actually he added an extra B by mistake. He was talking about Bullet Club.

But we already knew Bullet Club was the new nWo so I don't know why he just noticed now.

these people just genuinely don't watch the show

they can't conceive a Latino tag team wrestler being one of the strongest people on the card after years of wwe throwing them in the garbage for those two crimes (being a tag wrestler and not being white)

They also don't understand that AEW doesn't really have an undercard and midcard in the same way WWE has. WWE shows go from smallest draw to biggest draw whereas AEW is willing to throw Danielson vs Hangman for the AEW world title as the first match on a Dynamite or make the TNT title or tag title match the main event.

And if they're seriously WWE brained then of course they don't understand the concept of main eventers helping to build new stars because WWE never does that.

another good example of not watching the show is the people getting mad about wheeler yuta kicking out of the paradigm shift and saying stuff like 'i guess griff garrison is going to kick out of it next'

I'd be down for Griff kicking out of a Paradigm Shift. It'd make him look like a big deal.

AEW treats finishers differently too though. It's more of an exclamation point on the match when you've already got it clinched, not a "nobody gets up from that" move. That's why a lot of moves specifically don't end with finishers. Most do, but they rarely feel like they have to.

flatluigi

the intent was 'they're letting even jobbers like yuta kick out of the paradigm shift' not 'with effort aew could justify griff kicking out' (clearly ignoring the build they've been doing to make yuta legit)

I saw a clip of the Omega-Mox lights out match on Twitter and it reminded me how the pearl-clutchers were all out in force about the excessive violence, and it's so quaint looking back at that time because we get the same sort of thing every few weeks on Dynamite these days and I'm sure they're all still out there complaining to anybody who will listen about all the blood and guts, but at least nobody seems to pay it any attention anymore.

In a storyline that is "young lion proves himself to join a group with two of the greatest of all time" complaining about him being, like, the 2nd person to kick out of Mox's finish is either stupid or in bad faith

i used to really dislike blood in matches when i was first watching, ngl, but having it pointed out to me that blading is relatively controlled + bleeding is less dangerous than a lot of other stuff they do in matches helped a lot

plus what i knew of bloody matches before were some of the absolute historic bloodbaths that were an order of magnitude past yuta's match last week

Tell me you don't watch AEW without telling me you don't watch AEW.

He was just in one of the biggest and most prolific feuds in the history of the company and now he's challenging for the world title. Like that's objectively incorrect.
