My one complaint about 10 earth shattering blows is that due to the art style it can be unclear how injured somebody is. Some dudes take hits like a champ and others die like chumps and its not always clear which is which until someone states it.

Some level of gore or blood spray usually helps, but 10EB is surprisingly tame in that manner, considering the style and subject matter. Like the catapulted knight dude is probably either dead or unconscious, but he's not really bruised or injured, so it just looks like he's along for the ride.

I get that one though, when I started my comic I wanted it to be gritty wacky hijinks comedy like It's Always Sunny but in a fantasy setting, and then I realized that I had given everyone extremely traumatizing traits as a way to get them on the adventure, now I have to decide how to get these people act believably. Technically Spider GF has known my main character for a total of 18 hours (or maybe a few days depending because I kept the passage of time vague.) So I have to temper "I want to do fun couple things with the spider girlfriend" with "How do I have someone completely isolate themselves from any friends or relatives for someone who seems like a good top, and not have it seem extremely creepy because of the power dynamic."

I'm honestly slowly falling out of love with Property of Hate, I need something to be explained, and not just like, a tiny bit of the weird dreamscape they're in, but what are even the basic rules of this universe? Which sounds crazy because show don't tell, but I can't even tell if there's a society. We have no idea what the color juicing was for, and we're learning that Radio Man is the protagonist and the kid is the audience insert. I need it to get somewhere, anywhere. Then again, I like the comics where everyone talks about their feelings and trauma dump on each other. Or if the kid is a hero of some sort, can we see them do something? Anything? It's still pretty early so I think it's a bit too soon to be expecting explanations about too many things. Especially a comic like this that is largely metaphors and dream logic. My guess though would be that we're seeing a person coping with some adverse life event but expressed through characters which represent different aspects of their personality. Kind of like that twitter comic with the submissive cat everybody hates. That said, I *do* think TPOH would benefit from more solidly explaining where they're going, what TV guy ostensibly hopes to accomplish, what's at stake, and a general sense of what they can expect to encounter along the way. You need to understand the decisions people are making in order to invested in them.

A Lesson is Learned is one of my all-time favorite webcomics. Looking forward to seeing people's thoughts. And yeah, I'll agree that Ten Earth Shattering Blows is kinda off-putting to look at. For me I think it's the faces, they're all just kinda off and very often at the extremes of emotion.

Just over one third of the way through hitmen for destiny we were all the way through the boat hilarity. I guess hfd is a much longer comic than brainchip but man so far compared to hfd I just feel like nothing significant has happened. I've been waiting for the thorsby shoe to drop but so far it's been slow and boring.
