It's photoshopped. Original: If you were working the cables over the water, it looked like this:

It was photoshopped to look like he's untethered, standing on cables a few hundred feet above the water instead of the reality of him being untethered, standing on cables a few hundred feet above the water but over a small platform with no handrails or anything to arrest a fall of hundreds of feet. IT's a small difference, but an important one.

The amount of dangerous substances in our large clean room lab is eye-opening. Stuff like pyrophoric silane is bad enough, but we also use a surprising amount of HF. Every eye wash station has little pucks of calcium glucanate. The internal lessons learned database is full of HF exposures. I used to work at a company that was run by idiots and that routinely had manufacturing accidents involving various chemicals. I was thinking about leaving anyway, and when they started talking about a new process using HF, I noped the gently caress out of that place. You don't screw around with HF, and they were going to screw around with HF the way they screwed around with everything else.

I used to work as a medical responder for remote northern sites and the few HF burns we responded to were absolutely grizzly. You could always get some idea of how it was going to be when you pulled into the site and it was a clown show.

I haven't heard about it in a long time. Nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer from farm runoff ended up massively increasing the population of a parasitic fluke, Ribeiroia ondatrae, which causes frogs it parasitizes to grow extra limbs. This is due to the Snail -> Frog -> Bird -> Snail life cycle the parasite has, basically more fertilizer means more algae which means more snails means more flukes.
