Disney very hastily threw out the Obiwan Kenobi tv show teaser trailer and other PR for it the day they were getting a lot of backlash for donating to the Don't Say Gay bill. I'm not saying Nintendo is doing something similar, I'm saying it's not out of the realm of possibility.

If they wanted to combat that news they'd just replay the Nintendo Minute people who split off saying the company was great and fairly accommodating. Likely they do not care and it will not make an impact. Advance Wars being delayed is a bigger deal to them, and probably to people overall.
