Tbf, it could be like that Kickstarter that got Luke Crane fired from his 6 figure job. To those out of the know, Luke Crane is a tabletop game developer notable for his game, Burning Wheel. He was friends with Adam Koebel, who was blacklisted for bad conduct on a livestream. Luke Crane also had a six figure job running Kickstarter's games division. Luke Crane decided to do a sneaky trick and run a Kickstarter that secretly had Adam Koebel in it so that Adam Koebel would regain some dignity, or something. When the other contributors found out, they all publicly bailed. Luke Crane then abused his Kickstarter mod powers to hurt backers who wanted their money back in a shitfit. And, subsequently, he was fired from his lucrative techsector job.

It's entirely possible the other voice actors didn't know Vic was going to be working on this until after they signed a contract. Like, you don't work directly with the other actors a lot in voice acting right? It's just you in a booth with a voice director and some sound people.

Tbh I assume that once you’re in the booth it makes actual problems with your contract to back out, it just usually never comes up because most prominent anime dub voice directors usually tend to get along with their peers having been former/current anime voice actors and even in a world without him being outed by Broly it seems like an exceptionally odd choice by that metric.

lmao, Ministry of Otaku. I knew that guy was an ISWV douchebag after he posted a bunch of videos on his small rear end YouTube channel saying that he wasn’t going to attend any con last year that had a mask or vaccination mandate. I only discovered him because I was looking for videos of the shenanigans my DJ friends and I got up to at the Lumica booth at ANYC 2019, and while he had some good videos of our Anikura stuff, his everything else turned out to be regressive anime bro bullshit. Oh course he went to Anime Matsuri. Been hearing some stuff about how they had a bunch of right wing YouTubers there as well, but of course Vic was their star attraction.
