I decided to go with a modification of a classic. Not very original, but for a Dunmer sorcerer, it seemed to make sense.

Also, I'd love an invite to the guild. My username ingame is the same as here, and I just joined the Discord server as well.

Yeah, I'm sure someone with a good 2 bar setup is better off with something else, but it's nice for those who don't want to bar swap or get overwhelmed by it. I wouldn't use it on my main setup, but it'd be nice to pop on my alts where I don't have a setup I feel comfortable with. There are some solid one bar setups out there and this would make raise them up.

Yeah. My second bar on my Sorceror is my pet and a couple of passives which the ring would probably just about match while adding health and magica recovery on top.

Sadly the other two things I have on bar 2 are Critical Surge and Elemental Drain, and I don't think the 300 Spell Damage will come close to matching those against hard targets. Still if I ever get the ring, it might be worth doing some target dummy DPS tests to see how much worse it is (and if I care since I mostly solo anyway).

I could always keep it around as an alternate one bar setup for when I'm just doing quests and dailies and not like, Maelstrom.

I posted all these a long time ago in the thread, but since people are showing off outfits:

My attempt at a Maormer character. High elf with white eyes, plus arctic rime skin and mostly Pyandonean motifs.

Optional helmet; I used the Ancient Elf style, which is what most Maormer NPCs in the game have used. The swords are Scalecaller style because the Pyandonean sword style is a little over the top. The rest of the outfit is all Pyandonean motifs.

I did end up putting the all white "oracle eyes" on her later. I'm not crazy about that design choice on their part, but I do like my character looking more like the Maormer NPCs.

Stamina sorcerer so I can mix swashbuckling and storm calling; this was always just a gimmick character but it's nice that a stamina build with some spells will work better going forward.

Most of my characters just wear costumes rather than elaborately constructed motif combos like that... but another one I'm pretty proud of is this silly tribute to one of the great PC platform games of the 90s:

I picked up ESO having hit a slog with LotRO and I still had an account set up from the beta. With the free to play weekend there was a bundle on sale for ~ £15 with a bunch of DLC. I can't lie I got it for Greymoor as I'm an archaeologist IRL and the antiquity system sounded ace. I'm a lvl 20 Breton necromancer atm on the EU servers, but it seems a lot of folks are NA based. I'd appreciate an invite to the EU guild, I'm in as @WayfaringStranger. I'll join the Discord too.

I'm really enjoying the character posting from y'all... I didn't realise how robust it was! Definitely up my alley.

I used to play that game for hours back in the day and I love silly tributes, good job! My own silly tribute is that I'm an old Deus Ex fan from way back and when glowing blue eyes appeared in the ESO Store a couple of months ago, this just had to be done. (He's a Nightblade, natch.)

I only really use the entrance of Serenity Falls Estate but I've set it up in two sections which I think look nice:

The first is a small bazaar with the NPC assistants and some storage containers:

The armoury guy is on a path and wanders around and our friend from the court of feathers is hanging around on top of the various lightposts and cawing at people.

The second area is a crafting hub with all the crafting stations, a transmute station and the new deconstruction NPC who is super handy QoL:

I have a spoiler question about the main quest.

I finished the main quest but haven't started the DLC. I do see that Lyris offers a quest which I think leads to a DLC. What happens if you choose to kill her at the end of the main quest? Does someone else offer it?

lol, thanks.

I picked Varen to be the sacrificed since it really seemed like the only fair choice. Kinda funny that they just hand-waved away the big choice, but nothing ever seems to stay dead for long in Tamriel so I guess it makes sense.

If you mean the existing DLC that you already get with ESO+, then no, the only benefit is being able to use it without ESO+.

There seem to be 3 primary modes of play from people.
1) Sub to ESO+ anytime you're playing, if you're not subbing you're not playing beyond maybe logging in for daily rewards or w/e. In this case no, there's no reason to buy the DLC.
2) Sub to ESO+ occasionally (when you can afford it, when you're playing heavily, when you need to shove things into the craftbag and the free trial isn't coming). In this case yes, you get to use the DLC during those times when you don't have ESO+. Some zones give more value than others depending on what you like to do.
3) Never/rarely sub to ESO+. In this case buying it is the only way to access the DLC outside of free trials, so if they want that content they should buy it (probably with gold on a crown exchange).

If you're in camp 1 then no, there's no reason to buy it. If you're in camp 2, then the chapters are worth getting (though this is probably best done by buying the full game version, not through the crown store), the others really depend on you, none are so essential that you can't live without them for a time if you expect to get ESO+ again when you're playing more, though some specific interests might change the calculus (eg. if you love Maelstrom arena then you may want the guilds+glory pack to have access to it during the off periods).

Yeah if you're a relatively new player there's probably no point in buying the dlcs. There are so many of them that just subbing will be far cheaper unless you play for years and years.

imo as a super casual player who has been working his way through base game content for years and years off and on: the only reason to have a subscription is for the Craft Bag.
