MOTYC 29th March Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS The Gekokujo Glass Board & Alpha Deathmatch King of FREEDOMS World Title Jun Kasai vs Daisuke Masaoka This was fantastic even as NicoNico did their best to get in the way with the combo of lovely audio and a hardcam that makes me feel like I'm watching a US indy show from 20 years ago. That said, it's a real underdog story, Crazy Monkey is 6-0 over Masaoka, including a great bloodbath last November. Some sick headbutts, some insane spots, if you're in the mood for deathmatches then well worth a watch despite production difficulties. I'm just constantly remembering another cool/gross spot from this, like Kasai getting the bamboo skewers driven into his leg, or Daisuke riding a ladder down while holding a Razor Board that goes into Jun's belly. AJPW Champion Carnival Night 6 April 23rd HM Yuma Aoyagi vs Kuma Arashi - Very fun display of Yuma's increasing desperation in the face of Kuma's overwheming power Jake Lee vs Ryuki Honda - Honda forces the leader of his stable to take him a bit seriously. I'm completely turned around on Jake Lee since he first formed Total Eclipse, dude is great AJPW Champion Carnival Night 7 April 24th HM NEXTREAM (Kento Miyahara and Rising HAYATO) vs NEXTREAM (Yuma Aoyagi and Atsuki Aoyagi) - Fun interstable scrap as a preview of the Kento/Yuma block match on Friday Hikaru Sato (c) vs Black Menso-re - AJPW Jr Heavyweight Championship - Mense-re takes a break from the undercard tags to have a real good title match. Sato's style very much appeals to me but the snakeman was no slouch either Shotaro Ashino vs Shigehiro Irie - Both these guys rule, and this was very enjoyable despite being neither guy's strongest tournament match Jake Lee vs T-Hawk - Some great stuff here, but it didn't feel like a Block final match

Personally I'd say that DG have more volume so far this year but this Tag & Lindaman vs T-Hawk from the title Tournament were both better than anything I've seen in DG in 2022. I'm super happy GLEAT exists, and uploads their shows to YouTube because it means there is no good reason for people not to check them out.
