Yeah it’s spirit or United for nonstops. United is the same 737 as AA

I get to commute to a remote site in the Middle of Nowhere, Flatland. My flight is CLT->PIA. I have my choice of airlines, so I get to choose CRJ 700s, 900s, or ERJ 145s. Nothing real flies into Peoria, Illinois.

That's some warcrimes poo poo man.

If there was a “very” middle seat that means it was 3-3-3 instead of 3-4-3.

It looks like you could do Delta A321s ORD to ATL and ATL to MIA. That’ll get you an extra inch or two leg room in steerage! Just need to plan on a tight connection in ATL in the summer, I’m sure nothing will go wrong. Airbus seats are also a little wider than the 737/757.

And you can't have three cups of coffee because you'll need to take a cursed hangover poo poo in an airplane lav, which is basically a fate worse than death itself. Get the buzz going prior to boarding, and then sleep immediately before you're tempted to drink more alcohol. You'll wake up fresh as a daisy at your destination.

I mean in a practical sense 3-3-3 is no different than 2-5-2, actually worse in some ways. 3-3-3 you’ve got two people per row that have to cross 2 seats to get out at each window, 2-5-2 you’ve only got one, the poor soul in the middle.

# ? May 4, 2022 17:59 |

2-5-2 on a very light flight means you can stretch out across the five in the middle. Meanwhile, there's AF with the cursed 3-4-3.

e.pilot posted:I mean in a practical sense 3-3-3 is no different than 2-5-2, actually worse in some ways. A 3-3-3 is more equal across the row. The window seats have to cross two seats to get out, but they have the window as a trade. Even the middle middle gets two possible paths which can be very convenient depending on who or what else is in the aisle at the time. Every seat has its ups and downs. In a 2-5-2 the window seats are VIP seats and the middle middle is just hosed. edit: KYOON GRIFFEY JR posted:2-5-2 on a very light flight means you can stretch out across the five in the middle. wolrah fucked around with this message at 18:32 on May 4, 2022 |

priznat posted:It sucked when they started having exit row as “premium economy”. Counterpoint: it's good, actually, because then those of us who want the extra space can pay for it and have a reasonable chance that it's available. Premium Economy, as a whole, is a wonderful concept because it's not a huge additional cost in most cases, and it allows you to feel like a normal human being instead of a sardine, and it allows the cheapest possible tickets for penny-pinchers who care so much about the difference in fare price that they're willing to withstand misery for several hours.

I used to have check in agents take pity on me because I’m tall and give me the exit row. Now because I mostly fly on business I have to grovel to get the $60 bump or whatever it is Now that I am a bit more senior I’ll just raise a stink if I don’t get it but before, forget about it.
