I didn't like Neon Dynasty because it felt like there were only a handful of cards that mattered. New Capenna is a lot of fun, and it's always an interesting question whether you want a two-colour or three-colour deck.

No, they're not selling to LGBT friendly countries like Brazil for some reason that no one has figured out. It makes sense if they're not selling it in like Russia or something but Brazil has like the biggest Pride week in Latin America and got gay marriage legalized before America (but also the most LGBT homicides but I doubt that was a factor).

holy gently caress I'm sick of non apologies from capitalist entities on the Internet

every time a company tweets "we're actively taking steps to make sure this doesn't happen again" the United States government should air drop a monkey with a pair of cymbals onto that company's HQ, and it should go around making the loudest goddamned racket until they provide actual proof of their efforts. if their next quarterly report is missing even a single relevant invoice the monkey starts making GBS threads on people's heads

Including 'Bearscape' in the LGBT drop is a slam dunk, as is the art.

The PR statement sure does suck tho. What's the point of this kind of celebratory product if you immediately face plant on actually defending those principals. You're making enough money as is ffs.

iirc they have never sold secret lairs in Brazil due to their draconian import laws, also believe they have never sold them in Russia either

Yes! I wasn’t aware of him until now. Been listening to him while wrapping up work. Just watched the one where he riffle shuffles his deck at the end.

I see Arena hasn't fixed the issue where it DCs you without saying anything so you don't realize you need to reload until an entire pack is auto-picked on your behalf.

Get a refund for your draft - they pretty much do this automatically at this point.

Report an issue with your event, and go from there. It's not too late. Just report the issue asap.

I do this technique called a suplex. You probably haven't heard of it, it's pretty obscure.
Seconding that they're really easy on sending 10K for any sort of issue. Always report. I've never been turned down and I've probably reported 5-10 issues.

And don’t stress about it. Since it’s all digital, there is no incremental cost for the service desk whether they hit approve or deny. Some bean counter has likely showed Wotc that if they give out refunds they make more money at the end of the day. It’s kind of like how casinos will give you free poo poo, so you lose more money in the long run.

lol, I was gonna say a very similar thing happened to me in the past too

mtgo was way less stingy about refunds ime

Paul Zuvella

They basically refund you, almost immediatly, if anything goes wrong with any draft on arena. You can say a lot of things about arena but if basically anything goes wrong with the client they are very good about just refunding your entry. It doesnt matter if you play out the event either. I have trophied in events I have been refunded for.

how do refunds work in mtgo? they just give you Tix or whatever right, not actual cash/credit reimbursement?

Arena being a mobile game means that the devs have a high incentive to be generous with refunds, since the name of the game is "retention, retention, retention" (so they can keep the queues full for the whales who they actually care about). a poor user experience is a threat to that system, but it's also a closed economy. they have your money forever and there's no way to "cash out" unlike in mtgo. So given that, I'd actually expect mtgo to be more stingy with refunds than arena
