I keep reassuring myself that if the major pollsters gently caress up again like last time, public faith in them will be totally and permanently shot, so they would absolutely be working their asses off to make sure they're not herding or whatever again. Then I actually look at the content they publish and

extremely Labor-favoured polls from Ipsos and Morgan are a decent sign, because even though they are clearly favouring Labor far too much (probably due to poor weighting) they would have to be really severely loving things up for it to be a Liberal victory - much worse than last time. they also very obviously are not herding, which is the way all the polls were wrong last time, even the ones that don't typically have a major bias to Labor/Greens like Morgan and Ipsos do.
