Before he's largely been diplomatic and polite when discussing anything other than his Japanese visa issues or online trolls. I don't think it hints at friction with Tony since I don't think there's anything Tony can do about booking proper intergender matches on TV. Seems like something that would be impossible to get past the network.

Yeah I think people are reading too much into it. I think AEW would definitely be doing intergender matches without the tag rule if Warner would let them and Kenny is just saying his preference which is unsurprising considering the matches he’s done in the past.
