Wife and I just got back from Strange 2 and are happily in agreement that Raimi still has the juice and isn't a spent force like, say, Tim Burton. Jesus that movie was significantly more bonkers than we expected, and we loved it. Wanda was terrifying and we loved how frighteningly evil and vicious the movie let her be, it totally owned. Also, we marked out hard when deadite Strange bound a batwing cloak of damned soul arms and flew up to a demonic temple at the end. She turns to me and says "that is some of the most Raimi poo poo I have ever seen," and drat if she wasn't right.

I genuinely loved the Arrowverse but it feels like in general it just kind of hit a peak with Crisis and everything since has felt like a big come down and maybe time to move on. And the Covid delays kind of just killed my interest and now I'm behind on everything and just don't feel like catching up with the complicated web. It was a lot, I had a great time, I had my fill.

Multiverse theory isn’t some rare idea. There’s tons of sci fi and horror stories that deal with the idea. Peter knew what it was as soon as Mysterio brought it up. He just picked a sci fi topic to tell his story with. That it “happens” to happen right before the actual multiverse becomes a major thing in the MCU is just kind of clumsy cute foreshadowing. But in fairness Phase4 has been so wild he could have made up dragons or moon gods or tentacle monsters or zombies and he still would have guessed right. The actual multiverse chronology is I believe Endgame > Loki > No Way Home > Multiverse of Madness. Far From Home and WandaVision both played with the idea but just like for meta fun/foreshadowing. Yeah. I don’t think it has to be explained that clearly but if you need it I think the fact that all the conspirators were at Stark and basically on the front line of the madness and scientific theory is good enough to say they built off of ideas that already were in play. Again the fact that they picked “multiverse” right before that became a thing is clearly just cute foreshadowing by Marvel. But coincidences happen. Nostradamus is a thing.
