Probably the best he's played in the playoffs since the back to back cups. Maybe even a higher level than that to be honest. His 5v5 expected goals % this series is 81% lol. Probably couldn't maintain that for an entire playoffs but it was an insanely good performance.

Worst outcome is they force Crosby, Rakell, and Jarry back early, all of whom get steamrolled and turn their minor injuries into the sort that make them questionable for next season If 7 games is all they get, ah well. It's a bit greedy to expect multiple cups from a franchise in your lifespan, let alone 4 from a single iteration I would like to see them keep playing though, because they are so drat fun

Rangers/Pens very much feels like "whoever can sustain offensive pressure the most will win" Neither team is defending worth a poo poo and goalies have been "eh" for the most part Pens go bananas and put the Rangers back on their heels. Rangers respond and score in bunches, back and forth It's more fun than watching somethign like the Islanders but man the Pens system is irritating as hell too since it's constantly just trying to slip someone behind the D and hit them with a stretch pass. Very pond hockey overall
